House Dress Roundup (Under $50)
My only regret is not getting on the house dress band wagon at the start of lockdown. I used to live in athleisure like the rest of the world, but a couple months into the pandemic had me feeling a little sloppy. I felt like I was stuck in a #momlife fashion rut (but was definitely still not willing to put on actual pants)…enter my recent house dress obsession. I don’t know what the true definition of a “house dress” is (besides something I can only assume will make me sound incredibly old fashioned and antifeminist). But my personal definition is any dress I can throw on first thing in the morning, wear comfortably all day long, and then genuinely consider sleeping in after wrestling two kids through a painful bedtime routine.
It’s the world's best excuse to wear a night gown 24/7 and still look semi presentable. I have majorly slimmed down my closet over the years and live by the one in, one out rule. That being said, these dresses have already become staples in my weekly rotation and well worth the donation sacrifice of some especially frumpy mom uniforms.
