5 Morning Must-haves: Wake up Before Makeup

At some point in my life I was able roll out of bed, splash some water on my face and bust open the ol’ face case to slather on the war paint.

That day is no longer today. This mama needs some major help in the wakeup department before I can even think about slapping on makeup. Before coffee even hits my lips (which is saying a lot) I pretty religiously toss on a few products that help me wake up before the makeup…

5 Morning Must-haves:

For the Face:
First up, good old witch hazel. I apply her with a cotton pad all over my face and neck and it instantly gives me a boost. I usually alternate between these two (just depends which is on sale):

For the Lips:
I thought this was an overly hyped product, until I got my hands on some. I think I’ve gone through 3 tubs of her and every time I run out I think I can survive without her. I cannot. She is luxurious and nourishing and smells like heaven and I can’t start or end my day without her. My lips have never been softer.

For the Eyes:
This is a newish step for me. I used to apply eye cream in the morning, but it was too heavy. I recently discovered the Tula Eye Balm and holy magic. It’s cooling and smoothing and leaves a brightness under the eyes which is the perfect base before concealer. I’m addicted to applying it throughout the day.

For the Hair:
Dry Shampoo is as essential as coffee in this house. I spray it on my roots and let it work it’s magic while I finish getting ready. Before I run out the door I brush it out and go. Nothing compares to Living Proof, but if you use it as often as I do (daily) then Batiste is much more budget friendly and easy to grab at any drugstore (the 3 pack linked below drops the price to only $5 a bottle).

Just because:
Perfume. Every morning w/out fail. Scent always helps wake me right up. My signature scent has been Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet for several years, but I have been loving this slightly warmer Jo Malone scent for fall and winter.
